Appalachian in NOT hot hot hot

But India is. Today was 101degrees, but the locals keep telling us that it is still cool and the heat has not arrived- yikes! We all started our internships today and had great first days.  I am placed at a private clinic working with an Ob/Gyn physician.  The clinic has an inpatient and outpatient facility- so they do check-ups, as well as deliveries.  The medical practices I observed today were very interesting.  Much of the base work is the same as in the states but so much is different. Everyone was very nice and welcoming.  I made friends with many nurses and had a great conversation with the physician.  I am looking forward to the following days there.
A lot of women in India decorate their hair with jasmine flowers (they use the jasmine as perfume) so the whole hospital smells like jasmine- its really wonderful.

I promised to keep it short so I'll stop while I'm ahead!

p.s. If you aren't from App and didn't get the reference in the title: check out this video (an old ASU promotion video from 10 years ago) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVENWl8uBeg
